Many millions of years ago the ocean floor was here, and the white rock is the remains of marine microorganisms. Over the centuries, wind and sand have turned the former seabed into a semblance of the surface of some other planet. 

The step pyramid was the Egyptian's first successful attempt to build a pyramid and is one of the world's oldest monumental cut stone structures.

Aside from being home to Egypt's oldest pyramid, Saqqara is the largest archaeological site in the country. Nobles were laid to rest here over a period of around 3500 years, particularly when nearby Memphis was the capital city, and the enormous ancient burial ground is littered with other smaller pyramids, tombs, and funerary complexes.

The Abu Simbel temple was constructed as a place for people to worship Pharaoh Ramses II as a god following his death, as well as to be a show of power toward the recently conquered territory of Nubia.    The most notable feature of the Abu Simbel temple are the four colossal statues of Ramses II on the outside. 

Between 1964 and 1968, the entire site was carefully cut into large blocks (up to 30 tons, averaging 20 tons), dismantled, lifted and reassembled in a new location 65 metres higher and 200 metres back from the river, in one of the greatest challenges of archaeological engineering in history.

Measurements and scientific studies have been conducted to further prove that the pyramids of Giza were built to function as “Electrical Generators” and wirelessly transmit this electric energy across Egypt. 

The Great Pyramid of Giza was suggested to be  a machine that used hydrogen to produce electricity.  The pyramid's internal chambers and passages were designed to produce a chemical reaction that generated hydrogen gas, which was then used to power an electrical generator.

The Temple of Isis at Philae is dedicated to Isis, Osiris, and Horus. The temple walls contain scenes from Egyptian mythology of Isis bringing Osiris back to life, giving birth to Horus, and mummifying Osiris after his death.

The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam.
